Brazil midfielder Andreas Pereira has joined Brazilian side Flamengo on loan from Manchester United.
Flamengo will not pay any loan fee but will share salary with Man United. Flamengo will have €20m buy option in 2022 and Man Utd would receive 20% of future sale.
The 25-year-old academy graduate has made 75 appearances for the club so far and scored four goals across all competitions.
But with so much competition for places in midfield, it’s in the best interest of the player and the club to let him go on loan so as to get regular game time.
Andreas is familiar with loan move to other clubs as he has previously spent two seasons on loan in Spain: the 2016/17 season at Granada and then the 2017/18 campaign with Valencia and even spent last season on loan at Lazio.
He will hope to step up his career with Flamengo in his native Brazil.
