Former Barcelona and Stoke City forward Bojan Krkić has joined Japanese side Vissel Kobe on a free transfer after leaving Montreal impact.
Bojan started his career at Barcelona and was a very promising prospect tipped for greatness after breaking into the first team only to have his development stalled by injuries which really hampered his progress.
Bojan has since gone on to play in different countries and for different clubs most notably Roma, AC Milan, Ajax, Stoke, etc and now at age 30 he has signed for Vissel Kobe and will reunite with former Barcelona team mate Andres Iniesta.
The Spaniard told the Japanese club website how he feels after he was unveiled saying: “I can’t wait for this wonderful challenge. This opportunity is one of the best, both personally and professionally, and I can’t wait for this big challenge.
“I have been attracted to Japanese culture for a long time and, thanks to Vissel Kobe, I can experience Japan for myself.”
The Spaniard also said he is looking forward to linking up with Iniesta again, and hopes to make the most of his quality service in the final third of the pitch.
“Iniesta is special to me and I am happy to be able to play with him again,” Bojan added. “I want to score a lot of goals from his assistance.”
