FC Barcelona and the player Ansu Fati have reached an agreement to renew his contract until 30 June 2027. The buy out clause is set at 1 billion euros.
The club have made it clear that they consider the teenager to be their future, and the final step was tying him down to a long-term deal.
The club made the announcement after their champions league win against Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday.
Barcelona will hold a photo session and a press conference on Thursday to celebrate Ansu’s new deal at the Camp Nou that secures his long-term future.
The news means that Barca have now tied down two of their biggest young stars, Pedri and Fati, to contract extensions and reports suggest they will now work on deals for Ronald Araujo and Gavi.
The Spanish international has been breaking records since making his debut under Ernesto Valverde. Ansu Fati is Barcelona‘s youngest Champions League debutant, Camp Nou starter and LaLiga Santander scorer. Although still only 18 years old, Ansu Fati is not a prospect, he is already a vital part of Ronald Koeman‘s team and Barcelona‘s future.
Barca have already made it clear just how highly they rate Fati, by handing the teenager Lionel Messi’s No. 10 shirt, and Barca fans can now look forward to watching the youngster in action for the club for a long time to come.
The 18-year-old is one of Europe’s most exciting young talents and is just back to action after almost 10 months on the sidelines with a knee injury. Fati scored on his comeback against Levante and again on his first start against Valencia.
