Following the completion of the deal that sees Leo Messi join the Parisians, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has addressed the speculation surrounding the future of Kylian Mbappe.
The PSG president said Mbappe has no reason to leave the club despite the fact that the Frenchman is in the final year of his contract and has been linked with a move away from PSG with Real Madrid interested in the 2018 World Cup winner.
“The future of Mbappe? I think everyone knows. His future is clear. He said it himself, he wanted us to have a competitive team,” the PSG President said at Messi’s first press conference today.
“Well, we have the most competitive in the world right now. So there is no excuse for him now. He can’t do anything else but stay.”
New Signing Leo Messi has also said he is excited at the prospect of playing alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
The Argentine forward who was part of the famous MSN (Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar) partnership said:
“To play alongside Mbappe and Neymar in attack is crazy, I’m really excited to get started,” during his presentation press conference for PSG.
