According to reports in Spain, Barcelona boss Xavi ‘wants Liverpool star Thiago Alcantara to return to club’ to link up with former team-mate Dani Alves
And Some outlets are reporting that the Spain midfielder would ‘welcome’ a return to the Nou Camp.
Since becoming a Red the cultured ace has struggled for his best form due to persistent injuries and adapting to a new league.
Now according to Portuguese journalist, Pedro Almeida on Twitter, new Barca manager Xavi could look to take Thiago back to the Camp Nou.
Thiago who happened to win 15 major honours during a seven-year spell in Germany with Bayern Munich before making the switch to Anfield last year, could be the second player to return to Barca under new boss Xavi after the club announced they have re-signed 38-year-old Dani Alves.
Alves played alongside Thiago and Xavi at Barcelona but his comeback is likely to be much more complicated than that of the Brazilian right-back, who was a free agent after leaving Sao Paulo in September.
But Spanish newspaper AS reports that Liverpool are keen to keep the star, who they signed on a four-year deal for £20millon in September 2020.
